THE STORY OF SCOTCH

TASTING

Now that you are full of knowledge, next it’s time to fill you with whisky. The middle section of proceedings is concerned with exploring the flavour of whisky. Your host will guide you through a structured tasting of six whiskies which, between them, are demonstrative of the exciting diversity of the scotch whisky category. He or she will also discuss with you some of the quirks of production that have shaped the character of the spirits you’re tasting.

The tasting session also serves as a primer for the final section of the evening…

BECOME THE BLENDER

With your palates and noses finely tuned to the nuances of whisky, your host will next invite you blend your own 250ml bottle of whisky to take home. The principles of blending will be discussed and you will be asked with selecting the components of your blend from our extensive library of whiskies, mixing them to your own recipe based on your flavour preferences.

After bottling your blend, you will be asked to sign the label and dip the cap in wax, ready to be taken home. We keep a record of every blend recipe so if you’re proud of what you’ve made you can order more at any time.
